Paintings done just last year for the fall semester. This was my first time working with acrylics. I made 5 projects total, namely these in this order:

  • Still Life
  • Self-Portrait
  • Landscape
  • Surreal
  • Narrative
As you can see, below I have only posted three of them--the still life, the self-portrait, and the surreal. The landscape is at my uncle Steve's--he bought it. Mom has a photo of it somewhere, but I don't. As of the narrative painting, I hate it. I received an A on it, but I hate it.

Well, I guess there's no point hiding anything from anyone, is there? After all, this is my art blog and I aim to show the sketches and the junk as well as the good stuff.. I intend to dump almost everything on here. (In the future, expect me to show you other artists that I'm fond of.)

So, here you go. The narrative, inspired by Stephen King's Cujo.

You may wonder why I have so few paintings... well, they take a very, very long time, and for the acrylics, I only had a one-semester class. We had class from 5-9:30 on Tuesdays and only about 15 weeks were in that semester.

I'd like to tally up all of the paintings I've created.

Tempera: Did maybe 3 or 4 in high school, and maybe 1 or 2 in college. I try to avoid this cheap medium unless I'm using it to "sketch." Sketch paint. Yes. New term. Rejoice!
Oils: Only one, exactly.
Acrylics: Only five, exactly
Watercolor: More than 10, less than 30. Some have gone missing, others were presents.

As you can see, I have not painted much. I'm most experienced in watercolor, and that's because I love the medium so much. I love oils and acrylics, too, but watercolors are very clean and convenient. Cheap, too.

More high school works for you.

Take special note of the Silent Hill fanart. Of course, at a certain point, we had to pick our own projects. So, what do I do? I was such a fan of Silent Hill (well, still am) that I decided "it's now or never that I show my dedication." And you have a couple of Silent Hill fanarts. I made more shortly after high school, and I am still whipping those out.

This is a collage I had to do. The photo shows me with Spence, when he was a puppy. I was around 6 or 7 when we first got Spence... so in this photo I'm somewhere from 6-8 years old, approximately... I'm really vague on the specifics. I'm not good at remembering dates.
Props to Raphael.
That makes at least 3 Silent Hill projects that I did while in high school. Not as many as I first thought, but it's better than nothing. (I'm not going to point out those unless someone feels the need to ask... yes, I'm talking to the invisible audience again. I'm sure spectators will show up soon enough.)

More high school works.

And some college pieces, too.

Props to Gericault.

I still have a bit more to dump, but that's all you get for now. Ha ha ha. You feel that suspense? I do, too. Yes.

This is the blog of the art student RAM. Welcome, everyone. This will be a fun, semi-casual place full of adventure and bunnies.

And all kinds of furry, feathery critters.

Props to some Japanese artist.

But wait! Where are the bunnies? I thought you promised us bunnies?
Never fear, they are here.

These are prints.

Yes, quite. I have more, trust me, I do. But that is all of the cute, furry critters you get for now, invisible audience. Most of these are college projects... well, all but the blue jay at the top, and that is something I did in high school.

I will put up more past works later, then I'll get down to business--blogging the present.
